It's great at Halloween when the local neds launch fireworks at it. Quite a spectacle!

Fitted the rest of the interior bar rear door cards yesterday and threw the exhaust on today and it turns out the cone down pipe gasket I bought was too big . Fitted exhaust up anyway and fired it up. Obviously shes blowing like a mother with no gasket on the down pipe but I still took her for a wee spin down the road to see how everything felt. She ran a bit lumpy and spluttery at first but I put that down to being no fuel in her and she's no been ran in over 6 months!

Some fuel and a good blast had her running sweet! Chuffed (still not ordered a screen for **** sake)

After the first drive of 2013! Sitting pretty if I say so myself..


Trial fitted the other bumper too which appears to be a fetching shade if cream haha

Looks ace with the early SRi Bumper on, The Bumper will be Polar white which is an off white, your car being a later one will be glacier white hence it looking odd.

Windscreen ordered yesterday so she'll be away to get that fitted ASAP!

Also what headrest holders do I use for the rear headrest conversion as the corsa b items I was gonna where nae use?

Looking great! Mk2 and mk3 front headrest tubes fit not sure about other models.

Time for a wee update.

I got a new job in August down in Glasgow so had to leave the Astra behind at the bodyshop while the screen was being fitted and A pillars blown over again. I've just been back home though last week and picked the car up from the painters and have just been doing the last few wee jobs like fitting doorstrips and mudflaps etc.

I also seem to have solved the rough running issue I had before by replacing the main earth strap to the battery which was just about hanging together by a thread.

I ran out of time to get my drivers door vinyl sorted before I went back down to Glasgow .

Also annoyingly my passenger rear doorstrip is trying to make a bid for freedom . I'll deal with these things when I'm home at Xmas.

That'll be all until Xmas folks, where hopefully I'll have the 1.8 out and paint the bay ready for the 20XE i've been dolling up...
