Had a call from my local dealers last week and the gear stick rubber that was on back order had arrived, it’s now fitted and the gear selection is so much better and smoother. Again I used rubber grease to assemble it.

        Old verse new

        Fitted

Also did some checking on Sunday and found slight play in the o/s/f wheel bearing which is now resolved. Also found what I thought was a heater matrix leak and turned out to be the o/s heater matrix pipe required a slight tweak on the jubilee.

Coolant in the drivers foot well. As my drive is sloped and the GTE faces up the drive you can see why I thought it was the heater matrix.

I also blanked off the rear foot well heater feed as all it does now is heat the tunnel. I used a piece of the old SRi roof lining to blank it off, worked a treat as well.

The last thing I did was to extend the diagnostic port for the MBE967E as just thought it would look neater in the centre console and saves having to crawl on my knees all the time to find it.

Off to Nobles on Friday to have the GTE fully mapped so I’m keeping my fingers crossed nothing breaks and I get over 200bhp and 160ibft, time will tell. I certainly felt fast on Sunday when I popped out for a blast in the afternoon.

Cool, looking forward to seeing the results from the mapping session. I like the idea of the diag plug for the MBE, good idea putting it there.

            Still perfecting Harvey!

Might have a look at the rubber in my gear linkage, it would be good to get a better feel for the gear changes.

cool idea on the coms port. i left my old heater coming out onto the tunnel, still kind of heated your feet lol (although the exhaust does that too !!)

It's on the previous page but if you didn't spot it it's below you get two in a pack and they are about £7 the pair.

What a day, I’m smiling from ear to ear. Had the car booked in for a full mapping session at Noble Motorsport and after 5 hours of fiddling by Darren Wynn (Chief Dyno Technician) the results speak for them selves; 223.2 BHP and 168.6 lbft. I’m over the mood and chuffed to bits, plus Darren liked the new location for the diagnostic port

The car awaiting and good thrashing

                        Being lashed down

The power graph after a tweak here and there, rev limiter now set to 8,200

My old health check from a few weeks ago and the new mapped graph for comparison

Breathing a sign of relief nothing blew up after the marathon mapping session, doesn’t she look spanking even if I do say so myself

nice results, and a considerable improvement. Must pull lovley now looking at that graph!

and those wheels, it just works so well!
