C20XE behaviour without lambda

I'm not talking about grounding pin 20, but just want to know have you tested your C20XE engine with faulty lambda or lambda disconnected? How does it behave? Does it still produce power or does it behave like 1.4 engine? I'm curious and would like to know, regardless if your engine is with distributor or coil pack.

it behaves normally, then eventually the ecu light comes on

the sensor only controls closed loop map, is ignored during cold starts, also ignored at wide open throttle.

no loss of power or anything like that? When does closed loop map start? At what engine temperature ?
