  • F20/F23/F25/F28 Clutches, differences etc

    I'm putting an F28 on my C20LET.

I have two F20's and an F18 - the input shafts are different. Are these the same on F23/F25/F28s? I'm sure I used the same clutch plate that was originally on my Saab engine (which had the F25 originally).

Also, the bearing cover panel on the F28 is different to the F18 and the F20. I swapped the F28 cover onto an old low mileage F20 which was originally a 4x4 version, but it leaked profusely, and it needed loads of holes tapping.

Can anyone link me to the correct clutch for my F28, the input shaft is visibly different. The LET is standard so just want the normal type.

you need fiction plate from cav/calibra turbo.

if its a pot flywheel you need the whole turbo clutch (friction plate and cover). if its a flat flywheel you'll need a 20XE cover turbo friciton plate :/

      Thanks!
It's a flat flywheel. I have everything working when I had the Saab boat anchor, and mistakenly sold it with the clutch still on. Doh!

I have enough F20 clutches, but not F28 ones I'm afraid (or I had one but accidentally sold an engine with it still attached).
I bought an F28 clutch on ebay.
