Well, do you have oil pressure problems?
Personally, I put the nylon pressure relief valves in the same category as the 'breather mod' and cool running thermostats. i.e I've not had problems to need to mess about in those areas.

yeah they are supposed to get less jammed if you get swarf in the oil pump.

you'd hope not to get swarf in your oil pump at all tbh

Exactly my thoughts above, all these mods are a cure for symptoms, not the disease.

Breather mod, just ensure to have proper crank ventilatilation as described on here a couple of times, with repeatedly positive results reported.

Cool running thermostats, if the car runs hot there is a problem and such a stat will only result in a larger delay time getting too hot.

Nylon valve, well just fit a proper pump, with the oval pickup pipe and you will never need one.

I had one jam on an 20xe some ten years ago. Stick it on eBay
