I still want one of those centre consol bits that replace the 16v cassette holder, so if anyone sees a black one in a scrappys can you grab it?
The tray itself doesnt fit in like for like, it needs to be stuck in, and there are slight differences with the plastic surrounding it.
Best thing would be to replace the bottom part of the centre console entirely so it fits nice, but then the black of the Nexia's dash isnt the same as the black dash on the Astra's (colour wise).
Adjustable steering column fits. But the shrouds are slightly different to Mk2. Can be modified to fit though if you want an adjustable column (well worth it imho)
Just picked up a 3 door nexia for parts but noticed that engine is not unlike a 1.4 ohc vauxhall engine. Also the mechanism for working the selector housing (where the rubber bush that wears on the rod behind it is remarkably similar. The part where the rod going through the bulkhead for the gear lever is quite uncannilly the same, also the box on a 16 valver where the rod and gear stick goes into is very much the same by the looks of it. Also where the rack mounts and the steering arms look the same as well.the slam panel looks the same as well. they also have a popper for the tailgate release and fuel cap on the dash. the fuse box looks the same as well.
Who designed/made the front suspension for Nexias? got a 1996 GLXi 1.5 16V nexia, and needs new front wishbones, however these are v.expensive for daewoo ones, and cheap for 1.4-1.6 astra mk2 ones, are they the same/compatible?
the rear gearbox mounting bracket is identicle to the 16v one, when I twisted mine and couldn't find any 16v's about I got one from a scrappers off a nexia for £5. I need a drivers side wheel arch liner from a nexia as well for mine, it goes down to the bottom of the bumper so I can have my oil cooler behind the bumper without it getting blasted with crap off the road
