Installing stereo - help!

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me.

I want to connect this





to this, which I think is original, and is what is currently sticking out of the hole where the stereo should be.





I've got this



and this





I've connected everything up, but nothing's happening. I've read on here about checking connections behind the hazard switch - I've done this, and everything seems to be plugged in properly.

I've still got the original stereo, although this wasn't connected when I bought the car. I've tried putting this back in, but again, it didn't work - although I don't know if it's the original stereo that doesn't work, or something wrong with the wiring. This means I'm no further ahead, and I can't tell if the problem is with the adaptors I've got, or if there's no power getting to the stereo and there's something wrong somewhere in the dash that I can't see or reach.


Any suggestions?

Trace your supply and see you have power .....

You've obviously got a lovely, very early unmolested Mk2. What is it?

You could make a nice adaptor to convert that. The power connector will take 0.25" and 0.125" spade crimps and you can buy speaker sockets fairly easy.

i would put the female iso plug on to your old power supply thats what i have done
