Don't bother, 3 way speakers in that size is a joke, you will get better phase coherence from 2 way as the crossover is simpler and bass driver is still small, and no terrible reflections and scattering due to most of the cone being covered up. Keep an eye out for some old JBL GTO series or Infinity. Avoid the current JBL stuff as it's 2 ohm, think the current Infinity might be as well now.

we sell the fli stuff at work, imo the new fli spekers are much better than old jbl's, have heard and fitted both and tbh neither sound good in the dash. the dash was not well designed, thats partly why i changed mine to the mk3 and had door builds made. im pretty sure someone on here sells door pods.

Nah screw that, I was just gonna stick some better ones in the dash as a couple have started to peel and distort.

Both the 1.3 and the estate have Kenwood stereos, thought some brand matching might be good...?

The 1051 or 1061 would do the job. However, I have found that in very general terms Kenwood speakers can sound a bit coloured and muddy in the upper bass. I do like the sound of their head units though, very natural balanced sound with good dynamics and staging. Depends how fussy you are!

i agree with rich, kenwood speakers not very good, i would always offer fli speakers over the kenwoods. and most of the time they are cheaper. we stock both, fli4 £19.99 kenwood 1051 £24.99 1061 £34.99.
