Cheers, well it drove here fine so that's a good start, new clutch (out of my spares box) in tomorrow as it feels terrible. It came with all the repair panels as well, so just need to fire up the tig and practice thin stuff with it

Me too lol, some classic car restoration company's only tig panels. Takes longer to weld but less clean up afterewards and less distortion, have got in some 1mm tungstens and a gas lens on a small flex head torch to make it a little easier. Thinking around 25-30 amps, but may also give the pulse a go as well. Pulse should be really good for this sort of thing

I've got some fogs at home for it too!

If you find anything else you need (panels, etc) give me a shout and I'll see what was in the magical mystery lucky Astra-Kev bag that got sent to me.

Cheers will do, going to start a list up and see whats needed. Will get it up on a ramp at work this week for a proper look around.

                        But anyhows..

Old clutch out and newer one in, then off for a test drive

Was nearly worn out, main thing was the release bearing was seized. Newer clutch had only done around 10k in one of my old GTE's, is a Valeo one so not too bad.

Onto the drive... Crash's and bang around a bit on the road, slight pull under breaking too. Suspect a calliper as the pad wear looks a little uneven, pads don't feel great either so that's on the list. Should be able to sort the handling easy enough just wants some strut work and new bushes and joints tbh.

Overall not a bad little motor, goes well enough and put a smile on my face

Yeah, that is something else right?! Direct to heater matrix heating system. The cover is in the car somewhere. Just wants attaching. I just never quite managed a free 2 hours in the week to get it apart and sort it. The flap controls are all in place too.
