Hey lads, nothing major going on with my GTE, decided to get the car sprayed etc for the summer (I need it in my life! lol) hence the wide arch kit isnt going on until the winter. However there are a few bits going on, ie i just replaced the rear discs, shoes and pads and will be changing the O/S CV joint tomorrow and thought i would log it on here so everyone can see the progress.

Got the car up on the ramp and removed the wheels ready to change the rear brakes

N/S rear stripped - didnt realise the handbrake operated shoes inside the drum, spent ages trying to get the rear brum off until my dad pointed it out lol. Was a bit of a pain trying to get the ABS ring off of the old discs and i didnt think to order new bearings, so had to get those buggers out and the retainers for them which was even more fiddely but they came out after a little perservation.

Some snaps of the finished product, new discs spangling behind the wheels looks so much better and when i get the money together i will be replacing the fronts with drilled and vented. (Yes i know the calipers need repainting
)
Also, while the car was up in the air it was nice to see the lowering springs and shocks werent micky mouse, and the exhaust system was all Longlife too. Seeing as i only paid £350 for the car i was expecting the majority of it to be utter shite, so was pleasantly surprised.

Also, while im putting up some pics, here is my dads toy that i spent the last years of my school life building with him - tis a beast

Will give a little write up on how i get on with the CV joint tomorrow and also how the restoration of the bodywork goes.
Thanks for viewing!
