I see we have some non believers in the house!

Just to confirm, this isnt a octane increasing thing, this is purely a injection system cleaner.

Like i said, no power gains but a smoother deceleration and better starting. Thats what I wanted to cure, so its good enough for me!

Also, those of you that have tried these sorta things before without any joy, was that on a original engine or had the engine been rebuilt? My hard driven but looked after 83k XE certainly benefitted. Not dramatically granted, but enough to show its affects!

if it contains any kinda of solvent, then it will increase octane a bit. a tenth or two.

I've had my injectors ultra sonically cleaned, the verdict- no difference at all!

Its in the name, ultra-sonic means they had a scalded cat squeal at them for 5 mins in the hope it might shake out some of the crap.

Proper injector cleaning is done under (simulated) pressurised conditions with a dedicated cleaning solution for the purpose.
