beautiful car i had one identical to that except it was an opel and it was called a tiffany. i never knew vauxhall brought out the same model so thanks for sharing. mine was the same colour as this one a metallic ash black it was a fantastic colour and the diamond cut wheels with gold stripes really set it off vauxhall brought out a tiffany also but it was the facelift model in 90 and it didnt have that interior.did you own this car?

Interesting, long dead though sadly (2002). Been a while since I've seen one. They look like very similar seats to a late Manta GTE or early Cav GSi, certainly the same fabric I think...

yeah deffo looks like it was from the cavalier swatch book ! i have the same seats in my gte16v which were from a starmist.

The car is actually metallic blue, it was bought 3 months old from Lookers, ex demonstrator, my mum had the car for a couple of years then my dad got a job at Derby so needed a company car, they bought this off him and gave it back as a company motor, it clocked around 100k up over the next 3 years so had a hard life sadly, he left the company shortly after so we never knew where it went, he did try to get it back from them but they wouldn't sell, i can remember having driving lessons in this in 89, we were an all Vauxhall family at the time which is why i bought the GMX

Wouldn't it be nice, i remember buying a 90G plate GTE with 40k on the clock, literally out of the box for £2500, one of the GF's neighbours had a more or less Champ when i had the GMx, reg was G922 RGN, as we didn't get these uo North i was desperate to get my hands on it but insurance was a no no back then, he eventually sold it and bought a 300CE, very expensive at the time

It looks pretty cool! What was the interior like?

The clincher for me would be whether it had a 4 or 5 speed box?

My Merit from 86 had 2/12 add ons - tinted glass and passenger door mirror.
