  • Door hinges - does this look right?

    Stripped mine down today to find some manky sealer on the door hinges, so l scraped that off and found all look like this. ls that right, to have that huge gap between the pillar and hinge? The doors open and close level and sit perfect (although it is having new hinge pins in at the same time).

    Yes thats about right, nothing to worry about there.
    As for the condition , your pretty lucky as they do tend to rot just above the hinges.

        Looks better than mine use to.

        My passenger side hinge was connected by thin air I think they way it looked.

          Actually that outer pnael is just a cover.

          Underneath that panel is where the hinges are actually welded to .
