Weird how things change, I can see why though. All the benefits of silicon with OE looks. My Roose hoses lasted really well considering how many times they've been on and off the carComment

Good luck with that fan switch, I went through 4 new ones until I got one that finally worked.
Nice hose, a lot more subtle than the bling bling bright red i've got.Comment

bit of love for "the silver one" today
as posted in july i noticed the bottom rad hose was bulging near the engine and was super soft, so i bought a roose silicone replacement in OE black
draining out the radiator
then undoing the old thermo switch
roose hose on
new GM thermo switch
heres the manky old hose where it was oil damaged and thin

hmm, i swap back and fourth really. its probably done about 3k since 2009 but that was just because it was stored away from the house.Comment

ive been laying on the bricks having a quick look how bad the items on last year "ignorsies" list have got. namely brake ferrules and fuel line corrosion. gave them a brush off and some rust converter to nip anything in the bud
while i was down there i saw a bit of brown through the little notch in the rear side skirts (near the jacking point) lifted up the skirt and the rear sills are rusty, just a uniform layer of surface rust. it had brand new sills 5 years ago, and a respray 4 years ago. this is the price we pay for having abs plastic pressed firmly against the paintwork. is it worth it ?
