It will work with 2 ohm load but I believe these amps are based on integrated circuit chips, which really aren't that happy driving low loads like that. Give it a go and see how you get on, if you don't crank it too much it could be OK.

No that would definitely kill the amp. 2 ohm in bridge is far too heavy.

Do you want to use 2 subs or 1? If just 1 then wire like that and ignore the sub to the right. If 2 then you need to wire everything in series to get a total 8 ohm load.

I want to ideally use just 1, but being as they are in a twin box! I'll just use the one until i can get my hands on a box! Thanks

If they are in a twin box with no blocking partition between them you have no option but to run both speakers. If you just disconnect one the undriven speaker will have an effect.

Im finally learning! What i dont understand is JBL say that my subs are 2ohm DVC, when everywhere else says its 4ohm, im pretty sure it must be 4ohm as i was running the sub parallel and bridged to the amp, if it was pushing out 1ohm surely the amp would have gone pop by now!

So i have got my head around ohms and DVC subs and all the ways to wire them up, jsut the crossovers and filters i need to get my head around now! Im pretty sure my setup is crap atm, and reading a few reviews the amp isnt helping.

If your sub is DVC there is two pair of connections on it, if there is just one pair then it's SVC.

If they are DVC and each sub is wired with its coils in series it will be 4 ohm altogether. Then two of these an parallel would be 2 ohms. Your amp may survive but it won't like it.

I need to purchase a new amp i think then to find out about hi/low filters that i can stick on the sub.

Are you running the sub full range at the moment then? There's loads of Quarry Bank's. Are you in the Staffs one?

Huh full range? All i know is its just plugged into 1 channel now of the amp with the little switch over to sub (i assume the switches are the hi or low filter)

Im in the West Midlands Quarry Bank, near Dudley.
