Hi Danny, I'm still here and so is the old GTE.
I've had her for 16 years now, still Taxed and tested ready and for the road salt season to end.
Agree with you, I really miss the days when this was a busy Forum and wish it still was.
I had heard that most of the folks have now adopted to a Facebook Group, as I don't do Facebook I don't know, but if thats the case which group is it and how do I join it?

♂️ still here and i still have a current project that is being updated as i make progress, things are a bit slow atm but hopefully will get up to speed once the shell comes back from paint shop and the weather picks up.
As for the facebook pages we have the club page and members page, and also a page run by Mark Dobson & Gary Malia, links below, also there are also a few other vauxhall pages that branch off to the c20xe and c20let, in a nutshell there's far too much going on there and also you will find plenty of snow flakes and much more to contend with.

I prefer the forum far too many snowflakes on FB even though that is where the action is and the never ending line up of astra mk2 gte experts.Originally posted by Clive View PostHi Danny yes im still about. Not on here as much as i should be but good to see others still messaging.

Hi Teri yes still about thanks. Cars are both currently SORN but show season is only round the corner so will be sticking some tax on them and taking them out to shows soon. Only real update is this link. (hope it works..!!)Originally posted by G.TERI.E View Post

Got approached at the NEC a couple of years ago when my car was on show by two guys that work with Corgi interested in putting it forward to be made into a model. Thought nothing more of it then around Christmas time they tracked me down after losing my contact details and have now progressed it through to production so should be available from around April onwards.
I see you sold your Champ too recently. Must have been a tough decision letting her go. Hopefully gone to a good home though.

Hi Ste we are running with around 25 to 30 members. The FB page tends to run with circa 4000 or so but as you can imagine there are not that many Mk2 Astra's left to go round so not everyone on there currently has a Mk2 Astra car, but nevertheless still enthusiasts and people that like to follow the Mk2 Astra scene or used to have one back in the day.Originally posted by Ste p View PostHow many approximately are members of the Astra mk2 owners club?
Good luck in your quest for an SRi if you go down that route they are quite a rare car now and even rarer in good condition.

Yes sold the Champion to Jason Pengelly definitely gone to a good home, tbf it wasn't a easy thing to do but the question you got to ask yourself is how long you going to keep hold of them? And tbh I had another itch i needed to scratch lol, I still have the red gte16v so im still tinkering away hopefully I should have some updates on that soon.Originally posted by Clive View Post

I still check in here the odd time. Haven't got into any Facebook stuff and miss various busy forums from back in the day. This is a great website with some great info. It's a fantastic resource. I have an 8v GTE and interestingly saw a white GTE 16v go past on the back of a recovery lorry today.

I still check in from time to time, although as said, there don't seem to be too many left here sadly. To be fair, I think that goes for a lot of forums nowadays. Even the mighty Autobahnstormers, which I'm also a member of, is very quiet. Not particularly interested in Facebook really, or social media full stop! Both mine are still present and used over the spring/summer, and one of them should be tax-exempt next month which is a nice bonus. Over forty years old, frightening!
Loving Clive's Rembrandt Silver model. I'll have to get one of those to add to the collection!
