If you find yourself needing front floor repair sections, I have two pairs.

Yes I will for sure bud some holes in there, also can see from underneath that I'll need to pull the floor up for access to the mounts. That and I want to add some extra bracing in there while I'm at it

But for now just want to get cills and arches done, front floor can wait till after Billing..

I'll get those over to Andy with the doors. There's more there than I thought to be honest. I know I kind of covered myself saying "you'll no doubt find more" in my advert, but I didn't think it would be quite as much as that. The panels are FOC on that basis. Only sat gathering dust in my unit anyway!

Its not any worse than most, its all the usual places really. At least you don't have to do loads of work onthe bulkhead Just a pain if you have to partially rebuild the inner arches.

I found some cracking in the upper bulkhead area, I suspect some spots have given way. Either way it's getting braced to fook! Though I think perhaps I'll cut out the bottom inch and half and replace it.

Rear floor pans need some repairs, as does a fair few more bits, under the rear bumper where the chassis rails join in, strut tops, lower front cross member.

                edit..

                Cheers for the panels

Are you putting full sills back on or outers? Going to start taking mine off this weekend as they look in a similar state to yours, I assumed the best way was to drill the spots out and replace the lot? Is there a reason why you have cut rather than gone all the way up to the joint?

Yeah I've got full cills, but the top part is ok. I'm still up in the air about it tbh, I have before fitted the whole new cill but aftermarket ones just don't fit that well and the curved parts are harder to blend in/line up. I might just use the lower part and seam weld the section in with the tig, it's all hidden under the skirts then. But I might fit the whole thing, all depends on what I decide at the weekend.

Gloucestershire roads haven't helped. They are genuinely utterly, utterly woeful! I dread taking the Civic out as it invariably causes me to pull a awkward sort of jizz face.

                          It's a mk2 astra, it's what they do best!

Bit more choppy chop and some weldy fun, soon have it solid

I've got the full aftermarket ones as well, will get them out and see how they compare. My puddle welding is a lot neater than my seam welding which was why I was thinking take the lot off. That way its hidden under the door seal, with the lower under stone chip!

Yeah with mig I'd puddle it, but you will still have to seam the other part's at the ends. If you can join the cill to rear quarter panel on the swage line where the skirts sits, the bend will add stiffness and be less liable to warp the quarter.

As it did on my track car
