  • ***Mk1 Cav Drift Project!***

Ive had a bit of an itch for some tail-out action and as my mk2 project is nearing its end i was thinking whats a cheap rear wheel drive with familiar workings, preferably vauxhall. Before thinking oh yeah my dad has 3! mk1 cavalier saloons sat on his drive doing nothing! so me and my mate popped over and my dad said well, pick which one you want and its yours, mint!
The idea is to gut the inside sort the brakes and suspension a bit of welding, a set of manta 400 alloys and a LET as a bit of a long term project, i know the engine conversion will be a nightmare but its been done loads of times before, what do you all think?

Yeah there mint, that was always my dads intention to drop a rover 3.5 V8 in to one after he saw it done at billing years ago, but never got round to it, i keep kicking his arse over getting one done, lol.

it'll be a riot 200+bhp lightend retro rear wheel action! it'll be something different at least, the conversions are mainly done on mantas but they're identical, i always thought chevettes would make a good euro project.

                    They're rare cars now

To have three on your driveway is something of an achievement now.

monaro engine in a mk1 cav!? just wanted a bit of cheap fun, rover V8's sound sex but as said not very powerful, fancying a LET with a bit of work, she'd look and sound awsome sideways at speed!
