No, not worth it with the money I've put into it, not to mention all my hard work, but knowing one day I'll probably have to do it all again fills me with dread, hopefully not for a few years to come and not as much work if I look after it. I suppose if you loose the love it just turns into a car like any other car, thankfully its more then that to me and I hope always will be. And you can't really sell for the bucket load of cash, because they don't seem to be worth bucket loads, I think our cars can only go up in value (enthusiasts cars ie tidy ones) but very slowly go up.

I think everyone does from time to time but having been there, done it and regretted it never again!

Like said above everyone is tested now and then ..... Me? well not that often and that's why my barn is full of too much "stuff"

I must admit though that I'll have no qualms with selling some of my bikes to fund a more rewarding hobby (exactly what I'm doing).

The problem is that that you are unlikely to get the return when selling that reflects the value you have put into something, but then that's the price of having a hobby.

thanks guys, i love my belmont. its not the best condition ill admit but its by far not the worst. i love to drive it but then i also hate the niggly bits it has, ive changed pretty much everything and its had countless days and nights of my effort and hard work. yes its fast for an old car, sounds awesome and handles really well in terms of a mk2m but i keep finding my self annoyed with it, always thinking she could be better, maybe its just me being too particular with it i dont know. also my driveway always seems to be packed, at home theres 7 cars so its a pain in the arse at times when i need the garage.
    is this a normal feeling?

Sounds like you are in a similar mind to what I was a year or so ago. I decided to move on. In my case I decided I also wanted to put my time, money and garage space into other things. I'm still active in the club though.

Weigh the options up and think carefully before you make any big decisions. If you do think you will get another in a few years just put yours away somewhere dry and leave it for a bit, at least you know what's wrong with yours.

I knew I would still want something to tinker with so have made provision for that.

I thought of selling all mk2s when I got Cav but no way never
selling my show car was a big mistake I'd never sell my GTE again
