Looking good mate! We need more pics!!! Tbh I wished I had took loads of pics when I built my silver gte, but a the time all I wanted to do was enjoy building it and pics were the last thing on my mind, but really regret it now, and tbh chris is a pic whore!!! Ha ha I always like seeing how much Hammerite here's been using! Reckon he's got shares!!! Lol

Get it well greased up too, some MK2's used to rot within 5/6 years, and be on the scrappy after 10!
    Cheers mate.

I know what you mean but after nearly 23 years a few changes & mods have occurred along the way?

Original engine & box though at least on the outside!! Lol

Treated with Waxoyl all around although main culprit of rotting out the old shell were the front sunroof drains sending all that lovely water straight into the sills so bought new lengths of pipe & fitted extended versions which now exit from sill panels.

That's why Chris has given me a kick up the arse! Lol

I dont want to be doing this again next year Paul. Its a stunning build and you need the extra push to get it done.
There's a few members in kent who maybe willing to give you a hand if you need it.
Allot of positive comments keep them coming

    Chris

    Thanks mate

Took quite a few so far but not loads as never enough i suppose?

Speed not my middle name though so have managed to get couple of bits done I wouldn't have bothered with on a normal timed build like complete underbody in stone chip for further protection then gone over in colour.

Yeah Chris always has plenty of pics especially as he keeps putting me to shame with a couple of build threads running together don't know how he does it?? Lol

Very nice m8, that would be a pleasure to work on, keep us posted, how good would that look back to original.

I wouldn't worry about speeding!! Do it at your own pace, but keep at it!! A little at a time is better than nothing at all!! I still lack a lot of enthusiasm for working on my own cars, maybe it's cause my life had changed massively since I split with my ex, as when I was living with her we had a lovely sized garage, and it was like a small workshop in there, perfect size really! And now I have a barn that's used mainly for farm storage, but there's no electric and it's damm cold in there at nights

And yeah he does love a pic or two lol

Why not put some effort in getting a little area inside it with a lower roof and some simple walls so you can heat it efficiently? Even some heavy curtains would do... And put some electricity in there shouldn't be too hard right?

    Thanks mate will do.

Not going out my way to change things but improving & updating a bit to how I'd like it as dont want to part with it after all these years besides it's not even the original shell now...

Easier said than done! The barn has no electric and is only on loan, I don't pay anything to store the cars in there, and the owner doesn't want anything changed in there
