    What's the easiest/cheapest way of getting a code for a DC681?

    I used a service years ago after a Google, where you emailed them the serial number and your phone no. Almost as soon as I'd sent it I had a text with the number that worked! I think the original code is buried in the serial number somehow.

      Yes i can second what Astra Dan has said. I used one of the online radio decoding services to get the code for mine. Just pay a nominal £6 or £7 by CC /paypal online and you get a text with the four digit code.
      First time i made the mistake thinking the serial number was the number on one of the stickers on the casing but its actually the long number stamped into the side of the radio case you need to provide (12 or 14 digiits from memory).
