Installing a "flip out" screen where the middle vents are..

Hello there,

Has anyone ever done this? I've owned my van for over a year now and never once used the centre cold-air vents, i was thinking that this would be an ideal place to put a flip out screen..

any advice / opinions would be gratefully received!

Did it on my previous car (Rover Coupe)...





Worked well but tbh the original place was quite low down. Personally I'd keep it in the oe place on a mk2 with it been high up anyway but suppose it'd be different, could even re-route the vents and clock down to the radio position so you can still use them

hmm.. admittedly, it's high(ish) in the van.. but not high enough for a sat nav/dvd/flip I will investigate further!

I have fitted one in my mk2 astra but cant put the unit right into place as there is a lip above the vents that the screen hits before it is right out so worth checking for that first
