wet seat belts

i seam to have no significant damp/leaks in my mk2 gte, but when i put my seat belt on (as a driver) the belt itself is soaking wet.
any ideas?!

I had that problem on my last car ... it was the rear window seals ..

great. thanks very much. i'll look tomorrow. knew it wasnt arch/sill/rust problem as happens when im not using the car so not spraying up from the road!!

Got a brand new rear window seal if needed £65 retails at over £125
