yeah agree on mikes car not being used. i'm not sure the two-car twin assault actually happened, maybe due to the 89 crash there was never actually two cars for long enough! although john certainly took part in euro and gb events in the same year. was reading yesterday (1989 autocar vauxhall motorsport review) that john had legit GM dealer sport backing at the time, so that might explain the liveries all getting unified
when you think about it all, the paris dakar "fail", the group S false start, Johns crash, johns final car being fragged, the general vauxhall not very famous in motorsport-ness, its a miracle theres even any cars left and enough follklore for us lot to paw over !
