Well after getting a call out the blue by the freelance guy that works for Corgi and who did the models of mine and John's Leather Edition GTE16v cars I was asked if I was interested in showing my car at this years London Classic Car Show at the Excel Centre. It was one of those one off opportunities not to be missed and naturally said yes. Just means I will be bringing my car out of hibernation and little earlier than planned this year !!
The show is on for 4 days between the 23rd to the 26th February and is made up of 10 categories.
Saloons, Coupe, Convertible, Sports Car, Super Car, Hatchback, Shooting Brake or Woodie, Sports Racer, Single Seater and Aerodynamic Pioneer or Streamliner.
My car is in the Hatchback section along with a Mk1 Golf GTi, Peugeot 205 GTI, Escort Cosworth, Aston Martin DB2/4 and a Metro 6R4. At some point during the show I will be expected to drive my car in a parade along the 600m Grand Avenue which runs up the centre of the Excel Centre. If anyone is going then pop over and say hello. It will be great to see you. I can't promise at this stage but I have asked if I can have a handful of free tickets so if I can get hold of any and if anyone is interested in going then let me know as more than happy to post them out.
