i did 480 mile round trip to run my engine in. medway to tunbridge wells (kent) to pick up matt, tunbridge wells to swindon (wiltshire) picked up a cylinder head from gary poole, swindon to mallory park (leicestershire) to meet up with club gti track day, mallory park to silverstone (northamptonshire) to meet matts brother crewing for clio cup, silverstone to tunbridge, tunbridge to medway. only about 100 of those were motorway too. proper A and B road workout.

Like Rob, I was going there anyway, but the furthest place I bought anything for the car was Los Angeles.
The furthest I've been specifically for the car alone was Kent (Probably 500 miles round trip)

Germany for me, for some of the rare fog light switches that fit in replace of the blanking plates on the left hand side of the dash. 700 miles or so give or take a few hundred more

london to yorkshire to get a bodykit then to middlesborough to pick up some more bits then home.
Somewhere near Wisbech, about 150mile round trip, for what might have been an engine at some point, and a couple of gearboxes, that may or may not be straight cut.
Furthest parts have come from Norway, and Cornwall, but the seller delivered on the second one (rear beam and several sets of wheels).
I flew to Glasgow to buy my 306, and then drove it home; good job i liked it, 'cos I only got a one way ticket.
