Footwells are a good place to start

Rip all the carpets up and have a look - I had a shock with mine..

A 55,000 mile motor for £65!? Thats amazing. I'm surprised (though glad that it hasn't) it didn't go for scrap at that price.

If the under side is solid bearing in mind the milage hopefully it'll be ok but as said - take up the carpets. It is certainly not uncommon for one or both of the footwells to get rather moist in times of rain.

Was it this one by any chance???

General discussion on anything, not necessarily about Vauxhalls, including general mk2 Astra messages.

Yeah it safe to jack on the wishbone mount, provided it's not rusted through into the footwell

todays progress, some good some bad.

checked all the floor and its rock solid

then started hacking away at the arches and sills
one side has been replaced in the past, and its harder because they left the old one on
