  • my 16v astra

    Well here is my mk2 astra gte

    ENGINE:
    From the bottom
    fully rebuilt balanced bottom end, sbd steel inner pump gear, sbd nylon relief valve, new oil pump, new water pump, cam belt and pulleys(steel type),arp rod bolts,3.5kg flywheel, ap racing twin plate clutch, new .5mm over bore pistons, decked block, skimmed head, ported and polished head(blydenstein) double valve springs, steel cups, steel retainers, multi layer steel head gasket, rocker modification, wasted spark distributor less ignition, sbd throttle bodies, mbe management and wiring loom, btb manifold, fse pressure regulator, itg air filter
    And will be running nos
    gearbox:
    F20 quaife atb diff, Ge quick shift
    suspension:
    Spax springs 60mm lower, bilstein front shocks spax rear, alloy top mounts, power flex bushes all round, power steering removed
    brakes:
    Vectra gsi v6 brakes converted to 5 stud, Goodrich braided hoses, copper brake line run thought the car
    body:
    never been on the road motor sport preped shell(some bits look to group a but we will have a better investigation soon) stitch welded front to rear, lightened merit tail gate no spoiler or strip, lightened gte bumpers front and rear big mouth front, no side skirts, Perspex windows, no side repeaters,dtm wing mirrors, lightened bonnet, no sunroof
    Interior:
    Fully striped including dash, heater matrix, inside of doors and everything that was not needed inside, corbeau revolution seats, Luke 4 point harnesses, car completely rewired by myself, evo dash, 6 point roll cage bolt in but welded in places, custom alloy dash
    wheels & tyres:
    Vectra super touring wheels 16"
    Tyre not sure yet
    ice:
    Um no!!
    performance:
    Tbc

              Fair play mate astra looks spot on wanna do something like that to mine just not so motor sporty. Ive got a 1989 16v just started to strip it to get it ready for pvs next year.

                the clutch and fly wheel and bottom pully was you sat down 750 pound its a 3.5 kg one and a ap racing twin plate clutch

                  yeah? ouch, about right tho when i priced it all up. i am going 4.5kg with standard size paddle clutch once i get the engine back out cos i am skint

                        when will she bo on the road hehe thats a joke right well maybe if i am lucky i may get ago in it this year but there is so much left to do i dont want to rush it and i only have weekends so we will have to see want it all done propely spent to much money to rush things now

                              nope i dont work in a garage and i dont have a ramp at home but my dad does own a1 vauxhalls so i have all the tools (air ) and a two poster ramp that the car lives on and so many spare parts its silly
