low milage rusty 16v

Took off the side skirts on my car last weekend and this is what we found!

so it didnt do many miles but when they parked it, it was in a swimming pool?

It's not too bad for an 14yr old car, could have been worst!

would make a good project, even my 18/19 year old kadett isnt that bad tho!, before you start take out the carpet and look at the floor pan and places of structural integrity such as the bulk head etc... for severe rot.

It can be fixed and a good bodyshop shouldn't charge you more than £500 for the pleasure of fixing it.
If it's done right it will last forever(ish) :)

One of the worst cases Ive seen of rot around the arches there!

mines had only done 68k when I bought it and it needed new sills right the way along, new acrhes and new section up behind the rear bumper. I still havent got round to doing it though!!

EVIL ROT there on them arches.

Looks to be the same extent as a Nova I once owned. Repaired up nicely. GOOD LUCK!

I'd say mine's worse, but yours is going to look a lot worse than in those photos before you start adding any metal. It's going to be worth it though... Let's see the progress pics!
