  • it'll be the end of me

my car will be the end of me.

and not because its unsafe. or heavily modified to go faster.

its because i drive a peugeot 406 hdi all week, and when i swap at the weekend i turn into a boy in a sweet shop.

The shear fun of it makes me forget that; 3rd gear will get me 6 points on my driving licence and also helps me ignore the rattles coming from every interior panel (the ones that are there).

luckily for me the brakes and my habit of looking twice have got me out of trouble a good few times (more so today).

long live the cheap rust bucket that probably isn't faster than alot of other cars on the road but seems that way because of the enthusiastic / doesnt matter if it gets battered driving sensation.

not really a chat topic sorry.

Re: it'll be the end of me

I have recently changed job, I work for NTL (Sorry) driving around in a 03 reg Transit.

Just before breaking up for Christmas my car had been sleeping in the garage for about three weeks, so i took it out for a spin

It felt so strange, really low and the suspension felt solid, but it was sooooo fast it really put a smile on my face.

Maybe your post isn't really a chat topic but it was written with passion, and i don't think you could write that about many car's of it's price range nowadays.
