Top Mounted Spoiler ?? Yes or No !

Hiya's,
Totally forgot about this until i came across it while tidying and sorting my main garage a bit

The top mounted spoiler with the brakelight strip along the centre of it
Would it be crass to shove this on when i spray tailgate ??

It's never been mounted and i got it 16mth or somert like that ago and was still wrapped and had the adhesive/seal tube and all other fixing/mounting stuff

The shell/car will be in champ colour minus decals obviously so undecided whether to try it

What do you guys/gals think to these spoilers ???

Will post pic of it tomorrow or if i find a pic online now i'll post it up

Man when i bought it i cameback home with it and front/rear bumpers with fiancee squeezed in car also, Got back did a google and found the darn thing almost instantly
Just tried google etc and finding zilch lol bleeding typical aint it

Yeah i think i will tape it on and have a look 1st before committing to drilling a decent tailgate

Ohh just got told by the boss (fiancee) she likes it (funny that cause she aint seen it taped on as a mock-up) lol

Going to reserve judgement until mocked-up
If it looks naff i'll flog it in for sale section

i like subtle top spoilers and i have one to go on mine ,but bare in mind i have an SXi so its a small standard spoiler as opposed to the gte one.

Best way really see what it looks like before doing any drilling. At the end of the day if you and your other half like it thats all that matters.

Might look OK on its own, but definitely not with a GTE spoiler too...

im not to keen on these neither i think the only spoiler what suits the mk2s the best are the gte ones.

I think i prefer the std spoilers only mate. I think i actually prefer my Sri spoiler to that of the GTE

Hiya's,
Been doing the old hunt the hidden rust on the shell today and ended up gazing at the backend from all angles !!!!

Gonna leave it off the gte and maybe at a later date shove it on for sale section

Think a long ponder at all angles brought me back to reality lmao

Is a nicely made spoiler though and fits great but don't want to detract from what i hope will be a great gte-let

If it's like what Untouchable had I think they look OK but only on their own i.e. no normal spoiler on as well. Looks too crowded with both on.
