    Description: 1988 F Astra GTE 16v

    Engine: 2044cc 16 valve dohc, Poole A-spec flowed coscast head, 13mm colsibro valve guides, 3 angle valve seats, SBD valve springs, SBD steel valve spring retainers and platforms, SBD 284 Degrees dur - 11.4mm lift inlet cam, SBD 278 Degrees dur 11mm lift exhaust cam, sodium filled exhaust valves, ARP head stud kit, Jenvey 48mm parallel throttle bodies, ITG air filter, flowed 7° SBD inlet manifold, MBE 967E 3D engine management, SBD loom, wasted spark dizzyless ignition, BERU HT leads, BRISE competition starter motor, FSE "black top" fuel pressure regulator, 100psi fuel pressure guage, 8mm stainless steel fuel lines, 87mm forged Omega pistons, 7.2kg flywheel, ARP flywheel bolts, balanced crank, SBD alluminium underdrive crank pulley, ARP heavy duty rod bolts, ARP main bolts, ACL lead/copper turbo deisel main and big end bearings, SBD steel billet oil pump gear, SBD steel cam belt tensioner, SBD steel cam belt idler, SBD nylon oil pressure relief valve, 13 row mocal oil cooler, Serck alloy coolant radiator, silicon coolant hoses, SBD type C manifold in 316 grade stainless steel, full 2.5 inch stealth systems exhaust in 304 grade stainless steel.

    Transmission: F20 close ratio, quaife automatic torque biasing limited slip differential. Helix heavy duty competition clutch cover and release bearing, helix 3 paddle ceramic drive plate.

    Suspension: bilstein "sprintline" kit (blue and yellows), TAS motorsport rose jointed top mounts, polyurethane front and rear track control arm bushes, polyurethane anti-roll bar clamp bushes, polyurethane anti-roll bar bolt bushes, polyurethane rear torsion beam bushes, power steering replaced with manual rack, e-tech brushed aluminum adjustable front upper strut brace.

    Brakes: Front: Hi-Spec 285mm rotors, MaxTorq Kevlar-aramid pads, ATE callipers. Rear: 260mm solid discs, ATE twin pot callipers with mintex pads. euroquip braided nylon hoses in single stretches from master cylinder to callipers.

    Body: Mesh grill, clear oval side repeaters, aerial hole filled and smoothed, rub strips and side skirts removed, black GTE strip removed, all vinyl badges removed, bee-sting aerial.

    Interior: Completely stripped, safety devices 6 point bolt-in roll cage, cross diagonal and harness bar, sparco pro racer 4 point harnesses, sparco pro2000 bucket seats, racetech oil pressure, oil temperature and water temperature guages, handheld fire extinguisher, richbrook alloy gear knob (ooooooh).

    Wheels & Tyres: 15-inch astra champion alloys, with 195-50-15 Pirelli P5000 drago's.

    ICE & Security: See engine spec , Piranha alarm / immobiliser, secondary thatcham 2 immobiliser.

    Performance: 220bhp@7419rpm, 176lbf-ft@5200rpm, top speed 153mph, 0-60 5.65s, kerb weight circa 920kg

                            datron is just a brand of timing equipment. time was recorded at silverstone (trax 2004) iirc, with about 200bhp.
