With an 8 valver!!!

Thats right!!!

Vicente Orige, who had already won :D in the FWD all motor category with a 16v engine, has decided to switch to a 8v !!!

Despite the switch to a 8v head, again as able to win this past november (25 to 28 weekend) in Curitiba Brazil.

He did an impressive time of 11.23 to win the first place of the FWD all motor class.

Not being satisfied with that, he installed a Nitrous system to play around in the FWD free class.... he got the third place with a more impressive 10.68!!! the 1st and 2nd place were won by Turbo cars

How the hell did he manage that? I guess he isnt likely to give away his engine spec but it would still be interesting to know how he went about it!

And the most important... a serious weight reduction....

also the gas is for the Free FWD class...

with the old 16v he had he manage to do a 10.92 !!!

I was reading that for next year we will have 2 cars: the 8v for the all motor and the 16v for the Free FWD class...

there's a topic about that car somewhere...

Yeah I guess but if he controlled the revs I reckon he could get a good launch, depends on how much torque he has too i suppose.

that's true but he would not do a 11.2 without slicks... remember that drag racing is all about the 0-60 ft. :)

wonder what time he would do without them.
