well today i set about taking the dash out the astra as i need a bit of rewiring behind the dash, main thing was to remove the alarm as it isnt very good and dosent work properly, also tidied up some of the wiring too as it wasnt great, here a pic of just after the dash came out,

diddnt get one after i finished as it was cold and diddnt have the camera with me, but it looks alot tidier without the alam all over the place, also made up a loom for a set of gauges in the center so its hs evey supply it needs for every gauge, also re-wired the revcounter(aftermarket item)so it can all be installed without to much faffing about.
ill get more pics as i do stuff and keep bumping this thread

Brave man Jamie! Then again it probably looks a lot scarier than it really is (still wouldn't fancy it myself). I'm liking the door cards, considered it myself, are you using carbon fibre sheet?

should hopefully be gotting a black dash this weekend, fingers crossed.
time for a mini update
did a bit more this afternoon, ive had a Master cylinder relcation kit in the garage for ages and never go round to fitting it to the cav so i fitted it to the Astra, all this means is the trumpet No.1 isnt to close to the brake pipes on the MC so its eaiser to fit bigger trumpets and get the filter on alot eiaser, andway after doing battle with the brake line unions the go into the ABS module, the all pretty much looked like this lmao

they just round off if you even touch them with a spanner, so a combination of a set of mole grips, a tin of WD40, a set of stilsons and a bit of swearing throw in for good measer they finally came off.
and here they are all fitted with nice new brake pipe and new unions.

also fitted the ones the go in the wheel wells for the calliper, seeing as i got these for £5 at billing i thought i better make use of them, also fitted the wheels studs i got off Scooby.

thats it for now, more to come over the weekend.
