was thinking about this a while ago, about changing spark plug cover, done a few quick coats, idea is to match the SFI box for colour coordination, the writing needs another coat or two, but what people reckon? anyone done this scheme before? also primered sprayed and will laquer but only used normal paint is this likely to stay on or peel off due to heat or not be too bad on there??

here are some pics, feedback would be most appreciated:

It should be fine heat wise, but depending on the particular paint, it might lift if it gets oil or petrol spillages on it. Also, the writing is bare alloy as standard yes? Then you need an etching primer or it may start to peel or come away after a bit.

Should be all good. The plastic won't get has hot as the alu would either which is good. Looks quite good matching like that.

And whats the finish like mate?

Can you see any paint streaks or markings?

I know when i painted my calipers with hammerite i was impressed on the finish, no real run marks at all! :Banane44:

No runs in the paint. The spark plug cover is not as good as the person who ground off the words went a bit deep in places, I should have perhaps filled it and made it smooth but couldn't be ar$ed
