last thursday i noticed a nice key scratch mark down the side of my car! it starts on the rear drivers side door right at the front and goes all the way to the back light! it ain't gonna t-cut out either! its put a groove in the paint! deeper near the back! i am pretty pee'd off about it! what can i do to fix it? NOTHING! if i try and touch it in it'll look shite! wont pollish out! the only thing is to get the whole scratch section rubbed back and sprayed and blended in! SOD THAT! that has gotta cost £150+! oh yeah and the next day i noticed another key mark going right along the top of the boot above the number plate! this one is deeper that the one on the side! why the hell do people key cars! even if someone has a grudge agains't me why key my car!? i would rather they slashed a tire! replacing a tire would be cheaper than gettin 2 scratches repaired! i wouldn't mind as much if my car was in rough nick but it aint! its pretty bloody mint for a mk2, got the odd small dent, im planning to have a go at poping them out tho, they aren't bad enough to of cracked the paint! its bloody annoying! i would like to find out who it was and scratch there face with a very sharp key!
anyone got any suggestions of how i can "touch the scratches up" without looking shite!? anyone else had this done? i know brett has! its bloody annoying!

Sorry to hear that dude ,hate pikey scum that key cars .There aint nowt more gutt renching than someone doing stuff to your car (apart from castration of course).

Could you not try and flat it down with some fine wet and dry and then get the pannel buffed with a finishing compound ,just like the final stage of painting .I supose it all depends on how deep the scratches are ,if they are down to the primmer your looking at a pro touch up

you could try smoothing a little filler over it then respraying it and blending it but I would just do it on a small patch first to see if it works.

ask on mig there are alot more ppl.

it's not deep enough for filler, and it's not shallow enough to polish out. ill give it a go with compound. i got a few tin's somewhere. its not really an easy colour to blend in! rembrandt silver (silverygold)

sorry to hear that mate ,pisses u off when someone damages your motor ,i had two tyres slashed few weeks ago.only thing i can suggest is use an artist brush(very fine) build the coats up slowly till about level then try and polish it out.

yeah this is pretty bad mate:( Not as bad as the one on mine though so theres a good chance you can get it out reasonably well. I Tcut mine and it came out better than I thought.

yeah u can still see yours tho! it's bloody gay! there are people about in our area vandalising cars at the mo me and brett found out a few hours ago! one of our mates has a cally 2.016v ecotech, it was in pretty good nick but a couple of weeks ago his car was keyed badly and he has a tyre slashed! i would like to find out who is doin this and slash their throat! i might have a go at gettin my marks out/touched up on the weekend if i get time!

the first reaction is that someone has a grudge against you, but it rarely is. just pathetic losers with balls the size of peanuts who have to come along and do stuff at 3am so they dont get caught.

ive had mysterious dents appear, scratches, coke, playing dart in the tyre wall, a whole un-eaten kebab and carton smeared on the windscreen.

its a cliche' to say its jealousy, but thats what it boils down to.
