I haven't updated the old thread for about 5 months, so I'll start a fresh one here ;)

Swapped the MK3 subframe for a MK2 one on the driver's Champion seat today, and in it went. The passenger seat will be getting refurbed first as it's in a much worse state than this one.
Been for a drive and it hugs me FAR better than the standard Vauxhall Recaro style that was in before. I haven't got the narrowest back in the world, so I barely move a centimetre now on roundabouts.

The carpet came new/unfitted in a box from the last owner (along with some new felt/sound-proofing). Very black and a nice deep pile :)
No idea about the hoods sorry :(

what rad you useing with your turbo ???
It's a Calibra/Cavalier Turbo one from the donor car Wes.
The redundant standard intercooler is still on the end of it due to the mounting bracket.
IIRC, Untouchable has an 8v rad on hers,....................and I have one for sale in lovely condition if you want one :D

Decided to experiment with a bit more bling, and fitted a polished metal plug cover instead of the red plastic one. I'm still undecided whether it looks better or not. I'll leave it on for a while to see though.

Congrats on the RR result mate! Looking forward to seeing the results in TV :)
I’ve just been looking through all the pics of when your bodywork was being done and you said it was done by ‘The Skin Mechanic’ in Sussex. I did a google on them and it came up with them being in Edbourton just outside Brighton!
Is that right? I was under the impression they were next door to Henryk or is that another bodyshop you have used?
Just thinking of having a couple of little bits tidyed up on the car and was impressed with the work done on yours :)

Not sure either as the red plug cover goes with the strut brace. If your after more bling how about the red plug cover with chrome rocker?

Yeah, ideally I would like a polished rocker cover, with the strutbrace and plug cover done in the same blue as the turbo hose :) (I have a set of blue coolant pipes on the way too).

Thanks for the PM Paul.
Instead of having your strut brace blue, you can of course also get them in polished alloy or stainless steel. Dave F had his chromed on his Mk1 Turbo!

No I did’nt!...Clever man that Henryk.
He once made up a bracket to hold a K&N cone filter and my AFM that I was trying on the car. He got out a ruler, measured up, disappeared into his workshop, came out with different bits of steel, cut and drilled here and there, half an hour later, job done!....He did’nt even charge me for his time or materials!

Yeah, he's refused to take payment a few times from me now.
Top bloke, and I'm so lucky he's only up the road :) Not sure I'd HAVE a specialist engine like this if he wasn't around to fettle it TBH.
Looks great mate.
not lairy, quite understated which is best imo.
Bet she goes too!

Cheers
:)
I love the way theres always a little something on the burner for your car Paul. The hoses look ace and will tart it up nicely. Agreed though, how much ;)

It's part of a specific LET kit that Paul Roose has just started producing (Roosesport..........mainly supplies hoses for the Cosworth boys ;)).
Check out the advert in the back of Total Vauxhall for details
He has an ongoing thread running on VXON in the Classified section, so it's about time I gave hin the link to THIS website.
The hoses pictured cost £154 including all the new shiny clips and next-day delivery.

Bit anal, but I removed the last of the sound-proofing foam from the passenger footwell, along with the front-to-rear heater pipes,........another 7KG LOL!! :D
