untouchables roundy archy pics WIP

This was a year ago hence why its in story telling mode lol

Jan 2005 i went up to visit today...managed to get a couple of pics...looks fairly brutal actually, but no pain, no gain eh?? Anyway, this is the start of my rear round arches :cool:

ok, the fella started on the side with the petrol tank in first, as there was a bit of rust bubbling near the filler cap...

bit more of a close up on the inside of the arch..it was quite rotten once he had taken the black trim off, so another plate is going to have to be welded in there. He has welded the inner and outer arches together underneath to stop any rust forming there where he has cut the metal back.

i went up and took more pics tonight

then the start of the other side...i was soooo pleased this one was alot cleaner!!

im not allowed back up until wednesday now, he thinks he will have it filled and primed by then. He is doing my car in between doing other cars, so fingers crossed it will be ready by next weekend

I couldnt wait for it to all be blended in :( and for some strange reason, i seem to have lost the ones of the passenger side :confused:

next pics on here will be when its finished. Should be all done by Saturday lunchtime, im going again on friday, but there wont be much change by then.

ok i went to see her again this afternoon. Bear in mind the car was jacked up at the back still.....anyway, they are done, the fella just has to put everything back on now, rear bumper, mudflaps etc etc. I collect her at 10.30 tomorrow morning. Ever so excited about it all really!!

seeing the car in the flesh is a whole different experience, one of the mintest gte's you will ever see, hard to find someone with that kind of dedication to their car.

its amusing when people look at the car and can see something is different than a standard GTE, but they cant quite suss out what it is :D
