What To Cover My New Dash In?

Ive just about finished my home made dash, Ive made it from 2 MK2 Astra ones put together and then some extensive fibreglassing and fillering for the shape.

I need something to cover it in, Im thinking slong the lines of Alacantera but Ive been told thats pretty expensive. I want to keep this project cheap so Im looking for something along very similar lines to alacantera - a felt type material really.

Anyone got any ideas of what to get?

go to your local fabric shop (remnant kings or the like) they have many different fabrics at good prices.

maybe acoustic cloth, as seen covering ICE installs ?

if you haven't decided, velour is a good one, easy to keep clean, and cheap. will be about £4.99 a metre. im doing a full interior in it at the mo, roof lining and all. its only cost about £30 for the lot.....

I think flocking looks cool. Stefan off migweb has it on the dash of his mk3 astra. Proper Bo'! :D
