My 16v GTE

Don't know where to start really, bought the car 2 years ago with an A4 file full of bills and 12 month MOT,so thought it was well looked after, first purchase was goodridge hoses and greenstuff pads, first problem -brake pipes and fuel lines rotten!! the list of replacements reads like this:

New Rear Arches and Quarters
New Water Pump, Cambelt Alternator Belt
New Distributor
Rear Wheel Bearings and Discs
All Water Hoses replaced after 2 split
New Air Mass Sensor and Fuel Regulator
Also Various bits of welding to floor pans

Probably more bits replaced but nothing more springs to mind for now!!!

Spec of Car

Engine Standard 16v except power cap,K&N Filter and Piper St/Steel Exhaust

Body Standard except Zender front spoiler - Colour Burgundy

Suspension Konis all round lowered 60mm
Front upper and lower strut braces
polybushed all round

Standard interior

Wheels 16" Monza Gold Alloys on 195/45 Yokohamas :confused: :confused:

Trouble is, these things always seem to get out of hand, speaking from experience! I definately don't do anything to mine thinking about it from an economical point of view, if I did, I would of stopped a long long time ago.

dont worry about it my cars "resting" at the moment aswell ive got loads to do but cant seem to give myself a kick up the arse to finish it off.
i tend to perk up round march when the donny shows about a month away

yeah the 16v i was going to buy (the guy hasnt mailed me in 3 days :( ) was simply going to be a project while a tootle about in a nexia, I wouldn't buy a 16v as my main car tbh. I would buy it for the weekend and to show off.
