Very nice mate :)
Things I would change.. GTE Rear lights, move the Astra badge to the proper place and perhaps a later grill.
Other than those things I think its really nice :)

My first mk2 was a 5 door 1.6 gl in red with beige interior (lovely)
First changed the steering wheel to a GTE one and the chap I bought it from had a 1.3 3 door GTE replica. Found out from him all the parts just swap straight over, A few months later I had a 5 door GTE replica. Funny how things start ;)

The clears on the back i wasn't too sure about myself either... but been on a week and they are growing on me.
May face lift the front. No side skirts for me tho - only encourage the rust gremlin!
Sri spoiler on the back maybe a diff set of vaux rims and i really need to fit the GTE springs Ian T supplied me with months ago.
See you at the shows

well nice mate! get your windows tinted, it would change the look of the car altogether. like the oval exhaust aswell, the right choice!

Just a thought (maybe I'm wrong) are you sure it's a GL? Only my first car was a 1.6GL an i thought they came all fitted with electrics as standard, e/w, e/m etc etc.... I had them but you do not seem to have electric windows at least!
Just a thought good chance i am wrong though :)

yeah got heated leccy mirrors, central locking and door activated interior light. not leccy windows tho.
tbh i'm not a fan of 15+ year old electrics - they are more likely to go wrong and more complicated to fix than their manual counterparts.

My first mk2 was a 1.6 gl C reg I had no electric windows or mirrors or central locking.

Your right, i hate electrics from the off plus i'm colour blind!!
Aha, pics of the show winner! Looking very clean and spanking matey. Look forward to seeing it at the shows as my first mk2 was also a 5 door and I do have a soft spot for them!

Just updating with the weekend addition of a spoiler. I can already feel the benefit of the added down force and the extra BHP acquired from this mod is amazing!! :Banane42:
