Direct port nitrous has to be the only way!

yay for the 5 door! (not that there is any point in me having 5 doors apart from access to the 11lb bottle!)

Cheers for the comments guys, yeah it should be pretty quick with the NOS. At the mo it has about the same power as a 20 16V. Will start off with 25 nitrous and go up until it gives up (or goes bang!)

how much did the NOS cost for the kit and to get the injectors put into the fannymould ?

OK, a rough breakdown of the costs..

Digital Controller: £300
Purge valve & bits £100
The kit itself (solenoids, injectors, bottle, pipe work, etc) £500
Labour £100
Total: about 1K

However, there are many ways you can save a lot of money...a basic DIY kit is £360 (single point, no controller/purge) If you want an analog controller, it will save you about £100...thats if you want a controller at all (highly recommended unless you are only going for a 25 shot!) You dont really need a purge valve if you are not fussed about getting the best performance. What will save a fair amount is if you go for a single injector into the air inlet pipe. All comes down to how much you want to get out of the system. Injectors are the same price wether u go for 25/50/75/100 system (bar a few pence perhaps) so if you are going for a controller then u might as well go for 100 and then restrict it down to what your car can handle.

But personally, I try to buy only the best bits for my car and dont want to risk blowing it up after all the work that has gone into it!

If anyone wants tips/etc about NOS, I will try to reply in the best knowledge that I have!
