Well, a pretty disastorous day as far as the RR day is concerned.
Gander got to mine nice and early and we met up with the rest of the reigon on the M5 and set of to Powerstation in Cheltenham where it was to be held.
I was first onto the rollers out of anyone, my results were;
Flywheel - 150.5BHP
Wheels - 102BHP
Torquw - 135lb.ft @ 4978rpm.
now, some pretty ***t results Im thinking at this point, and woundering how the hell the cars lost nearly 30bhp at the wheels since I last RR'd it without me noticing. My initial thoughs were that something wasnt right and I was sure it wasnt my car, judging by the fact they were trying to suggest I was losing 48.5bhp through the transmission. Then the next XE has its go (MK2 Cav Convertible conversion) it scors 151bhp, 96.5 at the wheels, and 138lb.ft. of torque... Im relived, Clearly we all have shagged XE's or the RR is having a laugh. The Calibra Turbo belonging to Trig in this months TV RR shootout attended, and scored a miserable 108bhp at the wheels, just 6 more than me. Yet on the road, it murdered mine. It doesnt really take much working out...
As they day progresses every single one of us scores well below what we expect. if you want to see the full inquest look on MIG, but needless to say I wont be returning to Powerstation anytime soon.
rest fo the day was quite good fun, me and gander left the RR and headed down to see SBD16v and have a look at a Champion interior he has. Was good to meet you rob, its a stunning project you've undertaken mate, cant wait to see it done. Ive never seen and MK2 with no rust anywhere before!!
Well, Im back on the rollers at Interpro on 5th December, hopefully there I will have some results that are worth the paper they are printed on.
I'll let AstraSteve23 post his own results, I think his were the most acurate of the day, but still off what he was expecting.
