  • Anyone got a trade policy?

My current insurer (Liverpool Victoria) are now saying they no longer insure recovery trucks.

This is a big blow for me and my broker Nash Warren have said that none of the companies they deal with will insure me.

I have 8 years NCB with them and I have been with them for 10 years.

Now i am at a loss what to do.

Anyone know a good broker? My ins is up for renewal on the 1st April.

    Cheers!

A number would be great thanks! I only got a 3.5T beavertail, i don't do any scrap anymore, all i do is pick up non runners and move them to garages or enthusiasts houses. Last year my policy was £679 TPF+T. Just me on it.. i've got no points or anything on my license and over 8 years NCD. I think i've been paying too much for a couple of years to be honest!

        0800 917 5227

i wish mine was only 679 mine is almost 2k and the gte isnt on it due to not having an agreed valuation they offer trade price on any claim

i will say read all paper work carefully as they are just a broker and they charge some substansial fees i also had to pay big deposit

also try footman james they are quite competative

Re: Anyone got a trade policy?

My broker has been advising me for years that the amount of insurers willing to take on a trade policy is becoming very small. I'm with Aviva, mainly because I need fully comprehensive coverage for about a dozen vehicles including recovery vechicles and a couple of mk2s.

When I first used a broker they found a better policy than I could for alot cheaper and it's completely hassle free.

                            http://www.choicequote.co.uk/ or http://www.quotemetoday.co.uk/

Ive used these when mine was due for renewal, I think mines thorugh tradewise now though. Where is there that do these valuations for Gte's for insurance purposes? Will trade policy accept the valuation or does it need to be on a standard policy?
