  • Best wheel locks ?

I got 4 new Toyo Proxes (from Blackcircles) today but the wheel locks on the car have seen better days can anyone recommend some replacements?

Oh and the Toyos are much better than the old Michelins from 1996 but I could not really test them due to the weather-roll on the summer.

Some feedback here on the McGuards not being good & Vauxhall better - perhaps they have improved quality since 2005!

I'm pretty sure mcgard make the vauxhall ones now from what I have seen on newer vxls, the older vauxhall pin drive are the ones to avoid.

Any wheel nut will round out if your a ham fisted money tbh, tyre place's are the worst offenders with rattle guns and not using a torque wrench to do them back up.

Are any of them any good, it's hardly difficult to take any of them off without the correct key.

I just so happen to work at a tyre place. To be honest, i always remove them with a gun, but they always get torqued back up. However, if someone asked my recommendation i would advise throwing them all in the bin. Its just as easy nowadays to just remove the car, (especially an old vaux). I know ppl like them for peace of mind but knowing what i do about them and how much trouble they can be, i'd never use them. Just get a decent tilt/motion alarm. I had a car stolen a few years back, i still have the lock nut in a drawer somewhere however i bet they still got the wheels off.

                  Just my 2 pennies worth

No wheel locks are difficult to take off, mine came from halfords (ripspeed I think) and came with 3 keys.
