Hello guys,
My real name is David, living in the Netherlands. I own this Astra mk2 since 2000. In the past few years a lot of changes have been done to the Kadett. I also have an Omega B 2.5 V6 CD and a stripped out Nova 20XE. Let some pictures do the talking. ;)

I have big plans for the Astra mk2 this winter. I removed the engine this week. The bottom end will be completely rebuild and tuned. Actually, I'll take another bottom end to make a 2.2 engine. Also planned is a different steering wheel, quick rak, lower front springs, completely welded engine bay.

Looking good, I've not seen a red GTE look so goon in quite some time!
Why is the nova's engine bay white? Easier to spot leeks?

Thank you all. Feeling welcome here.
The Astra has had a complete respray in 2001. That's why I looks so good. And I try to keep it in a good condition of course. :)
The white engine bay is a kind of experiment. Just to see how it looks like. ;) Pretty racy. lol.
Would you like it if I keep a diary here on this forum about the rebuild of the bottom end and other enhancements to the Astra?

Yeah nice mate liking the back box. Did you have to cut out the spare wheel well to fit it?
Why do uk spec mk2's have two rear fogs yet this continental beauty has one? Other uk cars only have 1.

I like it a lot mate. I would have thought the spare wheel well would need removing to allow for a centre exit.
I like the rear bumper too, I have been thinking of de-fogging mine and converying a reverse light to a fog...

Yeah, the spare wheel well had to go. Follow this shortcut for some pictures:

About the foglights: a lot of Dutch enthousiasts build in a second foglight. Standard is one, don't know why. Probably it has to do with some old regulations, we were only allowed to have one foglight. Nowadays most new cars have two of them, I think.

This is how I would like it to be next year. If I have some money left after the engine rebuild.
What do you think?

Never been a fan of no spoilers on Mk2's, look too poverty spec imho.
How about an SR one like my Kadett, subtle but nice;)
Those rear clusters look like Irmsher items, is that the case? Where did you get them from? I like em alot!
Get an alloy filler cap too :p
