GRAK

On Friday we travelled up to the middle of Wales and stayed in bed & breakfast at the rally school. Woke up on Saturday and met most of the others on the one day course over breakfast. (some drove there early Saturday). Had a short talk from the organizer, to explain the days events.
Then drove in convoy to the forrest which was a short distance away.
All the drivers were told a few basics and rules etc.
Then it was time to get into the cars. First we did a 2 mile circuit one way then the other. Once everybody had been, we were shown how to do handbrake turns.(They made it look easy) Each one of us had 12 goes at this.
After lunch we did a 6 mile course. Then we each had to do a timed run on a slightly different course, and the winner got a trophy and some wine.
Finally the experts drove us around the course to show how its done.
The whole day was exellent fun, the people were friendly and the staff were very helpful.
The best bits for me were doing the handbrake turns and being driven around the course by rally drivers(nutters)
Heres a couple of pictures
