Insurance?

Greetings everyone

I'm trying to get the CDi insured and despite many years of cheap premiums I'm getting screwed this year. Silly figures of over £300 are generally being quoted with the cheapest being £227.

Last time I insured the Astra I paid £120!

I'll let you know when the policy arrives. I was passed around that much I'm not sure who I went with lol.

It's standard Fully Comp insurance but doesn't allow me to drive other cars. I'm not bothered about that though.

I'm with http://www.cccinsurance.co.uk for £150 fully comp on the SRi with Amanda and myself limited to 3K miles a year. My mates got his Lotus Carlton with them with his wife on and myself fully comp agreed value for less than £200.

My GTE is a whole different ball game as none of the classis insurers would touch it due to the mods on it. It won't stop me trying to get it on a classic policy next year but my guess is they will all say the same, it's too modded to go on a classic policy. What's the car? Best I got was £187 with Adrian Flux on limited mileage of 5K and no NCB given or counted.

The thing is I was quoted £198 for a normal cover on GoCompare using my 10yrs NCB

And I'm older than you by a decade !!

Adrian flux was a joke at over £300 and as I'd been with them for several years previously at a much lower rate I was disappointed they didn't try harder to keep my business.

I should have the policy tomorrow so I'll post an update on the exact company name and what the policy includes

What mileage restriction do they impose Neil? The Antibes is due at the end of the month and I'm looking for std fully com without business but I do around 10-12k pa in it (miles not £ ).

Big cheers to orange peel, nice one mate! i went to adrian flux first but there quote third party fire and theft for me was a slapping 850 quid, phoned footman james and they ve done me..........fully comp classic policy, breakdown cover,50 quid excess, 250 audio cover,100k legal cov, for 380 quid.......ltd miles though....6k, but i use a company van anyway so no big deal and to be honest i dont want to be hammering the GTE everyday and eveywhere do you know what i mean. so highly recommend these guys to anyone
