Cheers. i bought it in august, it had been stored away in a garage for 6 or 7 years and hadn't been driven in that space of time. i coudn't believe it when i went to go see it, i was expecting a right shed, but everything was solid and reasonably tidy. so i about snapped the bloke's hand off. and came back a week later with a trailer to get it home. it's had loads of un-seen work on it, mostly engine and braking system as i expected there would be.
as soon as it's completely finished, i'll get sorted with some better pictures, and get them on!

Looks excellent chap :)

Get some blackening gel on those bumper strips to really finish it off (if you haven't already).

Spec? Mileage?

i've got some o.z. classic hydras there called? 17s anyway! it's gona be fun squeezing them on the back, as the inner arch lip is already wedged on the tyre!
i decided to get all the grey plastic trim colour coded with the rest of the car, and i think it's made the car look 10 times better, with it being a dark colour (its like a metallic real dark grey almost black, you can't really tell on the pics). when i get chance to get it outside i'll take some better pics, because its not very good light in the garage!

Does look well even in those pics

Are the rear lights just tinted or are they proper smoked ones ?

i sprayed them with tinting spray, i didn't know what the outcome would be, cos they have like a plastic coating on already, with the standard stipey stuff, but they turned out really well!

As for the wheels they may hit the arch if the are the wrong offset ,get the right ones for an Astra and thats half the battle

my local tyre place has sorted me out with the rims and they're usually get reliable, and they said the arches just need rolling, on standard springs. trouble is i've lowered the back end 35mm. just wondering what experiences other people have had??

What % tint are you windows ?

mking

the back ones, including the tailgate are limo black, don't really know the % but the fronts are 50%. i think the dark windows just kind of merge it all into one!

Tidy engine. All that needs is a pimp Carbon look battery cover... and probably lose the foamy cone filter ...

mking
26-10-2005, 02:29 PM
yeah, the battery seems to stick out abit because of it's light colour, so i reckon a cover is in order! and as for the filter, that was already on, so i'm looking for different options to make it look abit nicer, dunno what thou?

Just finished everything on it today, just need to book an MOT on monday, and she's done! i payed £800 for her, the engine needed a right good check over, with alot of tidying of wires and more or less all the hoses replaced, but there was no rust on her at all, so i thought it would be worth it.

I'll take some better pics as soon as i can, and get them posted!
