Finally managed to get some pictures of my car, so thought would show you guys. I use to have a nova 1.2 and managed to get my hands on this.
Has got quite a few miles on it but still runs really well. Few electric problems like the electric window switch is temperamental so got to get new switch for that. Also the heated rear window doesn’t work either, not sure what to do about that? Also got same problem with rust but is only one bad spot
Is brilliant motor for its age and I also don’t seem to see many lately which is good, only problem is struggling to find bits for it at scrap yards (probably a good thing not a lot near me)! :)

you can repair them with a repair kit :)

I looked at a red Belmont SRi years ago, it was a nice car.
Theres a belmont SXi in a scrappy i use fairly often, might be there this weekend if yiu need any bits mate?
a mate had a belmont sri a couple of years ago, i was pissed off that he just rn it into the ground! it ended up burnt out or scrapped i cant remember which.
I quite like the belmont and like you said, they are getting very rare nowadays and yours looks a tidier example than most thats for sure!

looks nice! the heated rear window not working could be somethin stupid like one of the connections has come off of a fuse blown.

Found out that the electric switches are the same as the ones on an H reg GTE 16v  so going to some more scrappies next weekend to have a look if any of those about, but must admit not seen any lately.
If anyone does see or have some, that would be great if you could let me know.
Car had a service this weekend which it did desperately need and now runs a bit better. :)
You can get some window switches here:

Not sure how much - but i don't want to trade it in cause they will give me hardly anything and will scrap it. Was hoping there might be some one on here that would want it cause is a really good car and enjoys fixing it up cause there ain't alot wrong with it. The only problem im having with it at the moment is it seems to be miss fireing abit and iv had the plugs, dis. cap, HT leads changed and i am not to sure what to do next. With someone that has the time, if you could fix that, the car is brilliant. I also would like to get a Astra sport 2.0.
What year would you like your astra sport to be?

Like the older ones like an R / S reg. Like the black one you use to have.
Has Micheal given up with it?

Well, cause i don't get to see him now iv had to take it to some one else - first for the roll bar and also for the dis. cap which now costs me everytime i take it in. Now mike and the other guy are saying it could be anything??? which doesn't help. Is just really good car if someone knew what to do!! wish i did.
Take it to Weston's in Hitchin. They should be able to put it on a diagnostics for about £25 and tell you whats wrong with it. There phone number is 0800 731 4504. If they still can't trade it.

Im so chuffed ........the car is fixed!!! :Banane44: Apparently the mixture was really low and is sorted now. Runs brilliant again. I knew it was going to be something stupid but just hoping nothing else goes wrong now
